The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is a 23 mile extension of Washington DC’s existing rapid transit system. The Washington Metro originally opened in 1976, and the first phase of the Silver Line project was completed on July 26, 2014. Phase 2 of the project began immediately after phase 1 and adds the final 11.4 miles of the Silver line, from the Wiehle-Reston East Station to Ashburn. Phase 2 is scheduled to be completed in 2019. The $6.8 billion dollar project (phases 1 and 2) is the longest expansion of the Metro since its inception.
In April of 2016, Portland Bolt was supplied anchor bolts in a hurry for this project. Because of our large stock of domestic F1554 threaded rod in our 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility, we were able to have the fully threaded anchor rods cut to length, chamfered and ready to ship in one day. We were able to coordinate shipping the domestic bolts, nuts, and washers across country via next day air. This means that no matter where your project is located, and regardless of your time constraint, give one of our experienced estimators a call and we can help get you your bolts where you need them, when you need them.
