Portland Bolt is proud of the wide geographical reach of our bolts. Sometimes though, there are projects right in our backyard that we have an opportunity to participate in.
As part of a 2017 modernization bond to upgrade several of the Portland area high schools, Lincoln High School in downtown Portland is the most recent school to undergo a major facelift. The project, which broke ground in December 2019, involves removing the current track and football field and building the new school in its place.
In April of 2020, Portland Bolt manufactured over 30,000 lbs. of anchor bolts required for this project. The bulk of the weight consisted of 3” diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor rods, and 3-1/2” diameter ASTM A354 Grade BC anchor rods.
With a new school year quickly approaching, time was of the essence, and the anchor bolts were needed in a shortened lead time. Portland Bolt was able to complete the order a week ahead of the original agreed-upon schedule, which helped keep the project on pace with their construction schedule.
Portland Bolt’s 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility is designed to efficiently manufacture large diameter anchor rods such as those required on this project.
