Why doesn’t Portland Bolt have an ecommerce website where I can place orders on line?
While we’ve made it very easy to submit an inquiry online, we don’t have a system that allows a purchase to be made online through a few simple clicks or an online listing of prices.
Portland Bolt is a manufacturer of nonstandard construction bolts, which does not lend itself to an ecommerce site. While there are some common items that we do keep a running inventory on, the majority of our business is manufacturing bolts on a per-order basis, based on the requirements of your project.
After submitting an inquiry, one of our knowledgeable sales representatives will contact you to discuss the inquiry. In order to best assist you, we like to learn a little bit about your company and discuss the details of your inquiry. Information such as lead time requirements, grade of material, and configuration of the bolts is vital in order to ensure that there is no miscommunication and that you get the correct bolts in a timely fashion.
